Having worked in wealth management for the past 38 years, I bring an experienced perspective to the service of our team’s clients. I take an active role in the design, implementation and maintenance of our clients’ portfolios, working to ensure that their investment strategies remain aligned with their live goals. My training as a Certified Investment Management Analyst® has helped in these efforts, enhancing my knowledge of modern portfolio theory, asset allocation, performance measurement and attribution, and investment manager due diligence. A long-time Napa resident, I am dedicated to giving back to my community, having served on many boards and staying actively involved with numerous non-profit organizations.

Drawing on 15 years of diverse financial services industry expertise as a trader and relationship manager, I support the team’s Wealth Advisors in their efforts to deliver an outstanding client service experience. I focus on the smooth functioning of branch operations and work directly with clients to ensure requests are met promptly and efficiently. My extensive background in the investment industry helps to create an attentive service environment for Sonoma Wealth Management Group clients.
Having spent 14 years in the automotive business before joining Morgan Stanley in 2000, I bring a broad perspective to our clients’ wealth management needs. As our team’s Consulting Group Analyst, my primary responsibilities are investment research, portfolio modeling, and financial planning. I conduct due diligence on investment vehicles, and seek to blend and model investments to find optimal returns at specific risk levels. I am also responsible for assisting in the planning process, working to help our clients address their lifetime goals, needs, risk profiles, and desired legacies. I am proud to work alongside my wife, Rupa, and our son, Steven, and the rest of our team in delivering an outstanding wealth management experience to our clients.
With extensive training in client service and organizational skills honed over 10 years of diverse experience, I support our team’s Wealth Advisors in their efforts to deliver an outstanding service experience. I hold a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a Master’s of Business administration from San Francisco State University. Prior to joining the Sonoma Wealth Management Group, I worked as client service specialist at Charles Schwab, a licensed banker at JP Morgan Chase and a personal banker at Wells Fargo Bank.
Mary McNaughton works to build strong relationships with the team’s client by providing prudent and timely investment advice, paying close attention to the details and working to create an outstanding service experience. Her responsibilities include stock and bond transactions, mutual fund transactions, client proposals and client reviews. Save for short stints at Merrill Lynch and Paine Webber, Mary has spent her entire 25-year financial services career at Morgan Stanley, earning the firm’s prestigious National Sales Directors Award in 2001.
In addition to raising two children, Mary served as a Board member of the Napa Valley Unified Education Foundation for 10 years and frequently volunteers for other charities.
I have worked full-time in the financial services industry since 2012, including the past three years at Morgan Stanley. Supporting our team’s Wealth Advisors, I facilitate client requests, process operational tasks and otherwise help to create an outstanding service experience for our clients. Prior to joining the Sonoma Wealth Management Group, I was a finance analyst at Fireman’s Fund of Novato and provided local start-up companies with accounting expense analysis. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in finance from California Polytechnic State University and recently passed the CFA Level I. My hobbies include mountain biking, traveling and working on vehicles.
I work to create an outstanding overall service experience for clients of the Sonoma Wealth Management Group, with a particular focus on the management of client scheduling and the preparation of reports for client meetings and calls. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, I served as the director of customer service with a start-up company, an intern at Hayden Properties, and an intern at Morgan Stanley. In my free time, I work as an artist and freelance graphic designer. I hold a Bachelor of Science in finance with a minor in studio arts from Santa Clara University and a Masters of business administration from University of Portland.
