OUR MISSION STATEMENT
We provide advice on the fundamentals of financial security: accumulation, preservation, and distribution of capital.
We provide advice on the fundamentals of financial security: accumulation, preservation, and distribution of capital.
Our team helps people answer the two fundamental questions that everyone has of our industry: Will I make it? and Do I have any financial blindspots? We have found the majority of people we speak with haven't even definited "it!" So the first thing our team does is to sit down and help you define everything you are trying to accomplish with your wealth...with a high degree of specificity. Then we look at everything you're doing financially to determine if what you want to happen actually has a chance to occur. If not, we point out specific challenges and give detailed recommendations to get you on track. Once we've addressed question 1, we move to question 2 and our team takes a 360° look at you financially, to determine if there is anything you might have overlooked that might do you, your family or your business harm. Any risk exposure we uncover will be brought to your attention and our team will provide a rational strategy designed to help mitigate the risk.
Our team is comprised of some of the most seasoned and well respected investment professionals in the financial industry. Additionally, our group is consistently recognized by our company for excellence in client service. Doug Cheney has more than 29 years of wealth management experience, Daren Epley has over 23 years of experience, and Patrick J. Wolbeck (PJ) has more than 17 years within the profession. This unique combination provides extraordinary insight and understanding of multiple market cycles, world events and their impact on the economy and markets. Additionally, Daren & PJ are Financial Planning Specialists and PJ is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). This allows us to assist clients with the most complex financial challenges.
Our clients include highly successful corporate executives, professionals, business owners and retirees. We also serve a select group of young "up and comers".

"I am very fortunate to be in one of those careers where I can truly say I love what I do. Working with two brilliant young partners and talented and caring support staff make almost every day a pleasure to be at work. Being a Financial Advisor, working with individuals, families and businesses, has afforded me the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our clients and friends...now and for generations to come. From being able to structure investments that provide needed income or working a plan that will save heirs significant taxes in the future, we are problem solvers for our clients and friends. We love being able to help people. And we do that with a servant's heart."

"The reason I'm in this business is the opportunity to build and maintain relationships with clients. I love to communicate with clients about what's going on in their lives. I especially enjoy hearing about their kids and grandkids. We discuss events like weddings, new babies, and kids going off to college. It's also fun to learn about business and personal trips clients take. Sometimes we even look at the photos together. I also listen and learn about the health issues clients are dealing with personally and in their families, as well as changes in their careers. Sharing all these experiences together is awesome. As a result many of my clients have become friends. There's a great sense of accomplishment in helping to educate them about investing and financial planning by making things understandable without all the fancy Wall Street jargon. I feel strongly about helping them make prudent non-emotional decisions as irrational investor behavior is really the biggest reason most people aren't successful investors."
Daren graduated Cum Laude from Bradley University. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, in 1993, he spent six years as a professional baseball player with the Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers organizations. Daren is actively involved with Bradley University Braves Scholarship Society. He is also an Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach for Peoria Notre Dame High School. "I love the opportunity the financial services business provides me to build high quality, long lasting relationships with our clients. Many eventually become friends. There is no greater feeling than continually being able to help our clients reach their goals and maximize their dreams. One of the most satisfying aspects of our job is the connection we get to build with our clients over things that don't necessarily revolve around finance or their money. Whether it is an anniversary, family trip, marriage of a child, birth of a grandchild, etc., we are afforded the wonderful freedom to listen to what is meaningful and going on in our clients lives. I realize that I am fortunate to be able to do what I love. It is certainly not lost on me and I truly appreciate the fact that I have an awesome career, not just a job."
