rationality and a well thought out plan, a portfolio means nothing.
We are financial planners first and foremost – the portfolio is
just one of many tools used for the realization of our clients’ goals.
Simplicity is at the core of what we do. We look at your current situation
– what you own less what you owe and
how much time you have to achieve your objectives.
Then and only then, can we begin talking about investing.
Our philosophy is this: behavior is the most important determinant
of investment returns.
Cost is the second most important.
These two factors combined with a well-thought out plan,
give our clients the greatest probability of success.
Achieving your goals is not about outperforming
some arbitrary, emotionless benchmark or calling the next boom or bust.
It is about looking at the facts, having a plan,
tolerating ambiguity and being optimistic about the advancement of the human race.

We help provide comprehensive financial planning in the context of a long-term relationship with you. Through our experience we have learned it is important that everyone is clear on what to expect if we are to develop and maintain a successful working relationship. To this end, we both need to make your financial strategies a priority. We will agree to keep each other informed of any new developments that might affect these strategies. And we will agree to take the time to regularly review your personal financial plan.
After graduating from RIT with a BS in Business, I found my true passion to be finance. I continued at RIT to obtain my MBA in Finance, and after graduating, I began my career as a Financial Advisor in 1983.
In 1989, I joined Morgan Stanley and concentrated on helping people plan for retirement. I continued my education and obtained my CFP designation in 1991. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, I can help provide professional financial planning services. To earn the CFP designation I had to complete an approved educational program, pass a rigorous examination and meet stringent experience requirements. I adhere to a professional Code of Ethics and fulfill annual continuing education requirements to remain aware of current planning strategies and financial trends.
In 2002 I obtained my CIMA (Certified Investment Management Analyst) through the Wharton School of Finance. The CIMA certification curriculum provides me with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to effectively set investment objectives, evaluate and select managers, and manage an investment portfolio for individual or institutional clients. CIMA certificants are among the premier investment consulting and wealth management advisors in the industry. All CIMA certificants must adhere to strict continuing education and ethics requirements.
In my spare time, I enjoy being with my wife, Cece, and my children, Kurt and Rachel. I enjoy good food and fine wine, as well as, snow skiing, tennis and spending time at Martha’s Vineyard.

Originally from Long Island, Erica resides in Victor with her husband, Darren, and two children, Zachary and Alexa. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their family both here and in Long Island.

Lynne Stella grew up in Binghamton, NY and moved to Rochester, NY to attend college. She graduated from St. John Fisher College with a BS in Business Management and began her career in the financial world. She attained her Series 7 and 63 while working at Smith Barney as a registered service associate. Lynne transitioned to Morgan Stanley in 2012 where she is now the Registered Client Service Associate on the team. She acts as a liaison between the clients and the financial advisors within the team and is responsible for providing operational and service support. Lynne lives in Chili, NY, and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children by attending their basketball, softball and volleyball games and going to her daughter’s Girl Scout meetings.
Joy Krokenberger grew up in Webster, NY. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Consumer and Family Studies from the State University of New York College at Buffalo. With a past career in Client Services she has transitioned into the financial industry at Morgan Stanley in January, 2015 as a Client Services Associate on the team. She acts as a liaison between the clients and the financial advisors within the team and is responsible for providing operational and service support. Joy lives in Webster, NY with her husband. She also enjoys spending time with her three adult children when they come home to visit.
