My Story

Not too long ago, a client told me that one of the major differences between his previous advisor and me was that I actually seemed to care about him as a person, not just as an investor.    

I can’t tell you how gratifying that was, because that’s exactly how I feel about every client I serve.

I’ve been a Financial Advisor for more than 25 years and during that time, I’ve noticed that many of my clients tend to be a little like me.  They want more than market commentary and investment recommendations. They want a relationship with someone who truly understands who they are and what they want out of life. They want a confidant whom they can trust with intimate information about their families, careers and aspirations.

I want my clients to know that their challenges are my challenges and that I am with them every step of the way – through unforeseen emergencies and disappointments, as well as triumphs and celebrations. My clients rely on me for help in determining where they are and what they must do to get where they want to go. And I rely on them to fulfill my passion for helping people lead the lives they want for themselves and their families.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER who has worked with clients from all over the US, not to mention The Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens, Manhattan and Long Island, I believe that in many cases, I have made a difference in their ability to retire as planed and achieve greater financial security. My Background

Born in Brooklyn, Mike learned the value of hard work at an early age, helping his parents at their lower East Side store. After graduating cum laude from Brooklyn College with a BS in Business Management and Finance, he set out to pursue his dream of becoming a Financial Advisor. Over the next 20 years, Mike worked at several well-known firms and realized that what he liked most about his career was learning about his clients and helping them surmount the challenges standing between them and their most important goals. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2013 because he wanted an environment that would provide him with the independence to implement his clients’ investment and financial plans as he saw fit, not solely with proprietary products.

Today, Mike is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER with the credentials and experience to help clients plan their estates, use debt wisely, manage risk and retire with confidence, as well as structure their investments to meet their unique objectives and risk tolerance. Outside the office, he leads an active lifestyle, playing golf, riding his bike and landscaping the property in the Rockaways where he and his family recently moved. Mike is also an enthusiastic supporter of his Chabad congregation and a member of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife Ellina take a special interest in organizations committed to helping children with autism.

Some of my clients are in the prime of their careers. Others are approaching retirement or already retired. Still others have inherited their wealth, but more often than not, they have worked for it their entire lives and need an advisor to help them proceed with greater confidence toward the goals they’ve set for themselves. These might involve:

  • Providing children or grandchildren with a financial boost without jeopardizing their own future security

Plan Development
Every goal has a price associated with it. How much will it cost you to maintain your lifestyle in retirement, for example, or send your children to the college of their choice? Once we develop realistic cost estimates, we will weigh them against your savings, potential future sources of income and other resources that might be available to you. Depending on whether you have a gap or a surplus, we will create a plan with tangible recommendations.

When it comes to formulating investment strategies, I make certain I consider:  

  • Whether your investments are aligned with your risk tolerance
  • Where sources of risk might lie
  • How investments might perform under different market scenarios

Beyond investing, I work with Morgan Stanley professionals to help clients plan their estates, use debt more wisely, protect their families with insurance and pursue a variety of other critical goals.

As you would expect, I keep a close watch on your investments and overall finances to make certain you are properly positioned, given changes in market conditions or your individual life circumstances. I take pride in the ongoing service I provide and that fact that clients count on me to watch over their financial lives and help them progress toward the goals they hold most critical.
