Mark would like to live in a world where people are equipped with the financial education and tools necessary to feel more confident with their savings and retirement pictures. This feeling is derived from the belief that educational institutions should have mandatory courses on financial basics; not the elective system he observed throughout his school days.
In his role with The Beacon Group, Mark prepares and delivers education initiatives to the Group’s plan sponsors and participants in the hopes of bridging the same financial knowledge gap that he experienced upon graduating from The Pennsylvania State University. His 15 years in the financial services industry have allowed Mark to be a resource for individuals of varying demographics. Mark is a proponent of Behavioral Economics and utilizes his research along with investment analytics in the construction of investment strategies for the Group’s institutional client base. He also has obtained the Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM designation.
When Mark isn’t trying to find new and creative ways to assist individuals, you can find him with his wife, Cathy, and their girls, Alessandra and Alexis. Their house tends to be filled with music (Bruce Springsteen), movies (Disney Princesses), sports (ice hockey and soccer), board game playing, and Lego building.
