Morgan Stanley is global leader in alternative investments, offering a comprehensive suite of products that encompasses both proprietary and third-party managers, including: Single Manager Hedge Funds, Funds of Hedge Funds, Managed Funds, Real Estate, Private Equity and Exchange Funds.
Hutch is our designated Alternative Investment Director, a specialized program developed for advisors experienced in Alternative Investments. This accolade has afforded the Radcliff-Schatzman team access to expansive resources associated with this designation, and we have significantly incorporated these products into our practice.
Incorporating alternative investments into a traditional portfolio may help you to reduce overall volatility while increasing portfolio diversification, all with a typically lower correlation to the market movements of traditional investments such as stocks and bonds. We are very well-versed in these products, and evaluate and integrate them regularly into our clients’ portfolios. Learn which type of investment is best for you: Ask the Radcliff-Schatzman team about your options with alternative investments to see if they fit within your overall investment strategy.
Alternative investments often are speculative and include a high degree of risk. Investors could lose all or a substantial amount of their investment. Alternative investments are suitable only for eligible, long-term investors who are willing to forgo liquidity and put capital at risk for an indefinite period of time. They may be highly illiquid and can engage in leverage and other speculative practices that may increase the volatility and risk of loss. Alternative Investments typically have higher fees than traditional investments. Investors should carefully review and consider potential risks before investing.
Everything starts with a plan. To be truly effective, your plan must reflect the totality of your personal and financial life. As you move through the stages of life, you face a succession of financial challenges. Some challenges, like the need to manage the relationship between investment risk and return, start early and never go away. Others, like estate planning, tax planning, business successions planning, and capital gains planning, come later. Financial planning may be the foundation of your financial picture, but it’s only one part of that picture. Our team’s comprehensive wealth planning approach takes all of your changes and challenges into consideration. Our role is to help ensure that your investment objectives are consistent with pressing financial concerns and your long-term aspirations.
We will support you and your strategy by leveraging the resources, intellectual capital, and

Family Wealth Management
Families can be incredibly hard to understand at times. Yet they are the backbone of our society and economy. A recent report from Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management tells us that a well-organized, democratic decision-making family governance is proving to be a catalyst for better family relationships, and boost family harmony. As your family grows and your wealth increases, you may face a broader and more complex set of wealth management challenges. As the demands of your family grow and evolve, we are here to help you maximize the value of your human capital by driving family wealth education, making it more likely that all members of the family will have the foundation they need to lead meaningful, fulfilled, and engaged lives.
We understand, from direct experience, that families who build enduring legacies are not only successful at transferring capital from one generation to the next, but they are equally successful at transferring values and trust. Based on an in-depth understanding of your complex, multigenerational challenges, we can create a customized plan to help you realize your family’s unique vision.
Having Self as your Family Wealth Director, a designation held by less than 3% of Morgan Stanley’s financial advisors, our team is able to connect you to a comprehensive suite of family office services – a unique combination of resources, experience, and access to dedicated professionals.
Managing a comprehensive 401(k) retirement plan for your organization takes a unique set of skills. As a fiduciary, you are responsible for selecting and monitoring service providers and investments, while also being committed to understanding and implementing ERISA regulations. Creating fresh strategies to encourage your employees to take advantage of the program can be overwhelming. That’s where we come in.
As Corporate Retirement Director, Hutch is among the less than 2% of more Morgan Stanley financial advisors to hold this designation. This position allows our team access to first-class resources that are designed specifically to address the challenges and special needs of you and your employees in a collaborative, professional, and educational manner – one that places your goals at the center of our relationship. We know what it takes to achieve results and drive outcomes by fully leveraging valuable resources to support your vision. We are proud to included our team in this esteemed group of professionals.
We will help you navigate the fiduciary landscape by delivering customized retirement plan solutions – including Defined Benefit, 401(k), Profit Sharing, Cash Balance, Qualified and Non-Qualified Plans – to help meet your organization’s unique objective.
Additionally, our team provides access to 3(38) fiduciary services, which can help retirement plan sponsors and trustees with the management of their fiduciary responsibility and risk. In selecting an ERISA 3(38) investment manager, the plan sponsor is responsible for the prudent selection of a fiduciary. Failure to be judicious in this process may result in unwanted liability, and we will help you ask the right questions to determine how to best address your needs.
